The Turk-tacular Turkey Town Trotters take on Thanksgiving: Or, let’s feed the hungry together!

Hello, friends! This week I need your help. You see, I’ve decided to sign up for Sacramento’s annual Run to Feed the Hungry, which has gone virtual due to Covid (meaning: you can run a 5 or 10K anywhere in the world, whenever you like, then you email the organizers your time). This will be my very first official 5K, running outside and keeping time, so I’m super excited.

So, why do I need your help? Because I want to help raise money to feed the hungry in my community, and my audacious group goal is $500.

Any amount helps! Even a $1 donation can feed a family FIVE meals. How amazing is that?

If you’ve got a little cash to spare, please consider donating to this worthy cause. 100% of all funds raised go directly to Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services. As a result of this event’s fundraising success, SFBFS offers services free of charge to families in need in our community all year long. And, of course, all donations are 100% tax deductible!

To Donate Any Amount: My group is called the Turk-tacular Turkey Town Trotters, and all you need to do is click the link. (Bob’s Burgers fans will note that I borrowed this name from one of the show’s Thanksgiving episodes, as I was channeling my inner Linda Belcher — pictured in the screenshot above as she gets ready to head to the top of the pecking order in “Dawn of the Peck.”)

Thank you for your generosity, and if you’d like to join our Turk-tacular team to help us in our fundraising goals, please feel free to add yourself when signing up for this fun virtual event!
