Online Dating from A to Z: Quirky Questions to Ask on a First Date
Welcome to the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge. This month I’ll be working my way through the alphabet, one day at a time, on the subject of Online Dating. If you’ve never visited my blog before, I’m happy you’re here! Be sure to check out my previous A to Z Challenge posts and the books that were inspired by them for more alphabetical fun.
Q is for Questions
What are some of the most important questions to ask your online date – before you meet up or once you’re finally staring them in the face?
As mentioned in my J post, most people ask their potential dates about their jobs, whether they’re trying to figure out their personality or get some idea about the amount of money they make.
Wary daters may ask whether their matches are married, divorced, or have any kids, although this tends to be a topic that most people artfully conceal or choose to reveal only after a real connection occurs.
For slightly less menacing lines of questioning, here are some other good options for questions to ask your dates:
- What are your top 5 desert island books/movies/albums?
- Do you like horror movies?
- Ever wanted to just chuck it all, buy a boat, and sail around the world?
- Have you ever traveled to another country alone?
- Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Still need more questions? Here’s a list of 160 questions to ask your date – but, please, space them out over a series of dates if you intend to ask all 160!
