It’s the most wonderful time of the year: NaNoWriMo!
It’s that time of the year again: National Novel Writing Month (aka NaNoWriMo) is almost upon us!
While some writers pooh-pooh the month-long writing challenge as something no “serious” writer would ever participate in (see Catherine, Caffeinated’s awesome rant on the subject), we at Buttontapper Press heartily endorse it. Whether you’re a seasoned pro adding another draft to your bookshelf, or a once-a-year novelist looking to improve your craft, we say there’s no wrong way to write a novel. 1,666 words a day for 30 days? Why the hell not!
So, for those about to write, we salute you. And if you’re in the Austin, Texas area during the month of November, we’d love to write with you. The local kick-off party takes place on October 31 at Dragon’s Lair, and attendees are welcome (and encouraged) to wear costumes. Bring your favorite writing implements and we’ll see you there!
P.S. Want to friend us on the NaNoWriMo site? We use the alias ValCapone for all our November stealth maneuvers. Stop by and say hi!
